The Campaign

20,000 have already gone out the previous week.

500 x 4ft posters (top left in photo) are in the process of going up around Derry!

Slogans have appeared on walls in Derry in support of Peggy. Unfortunately opponents of Republicanism have been attempting to cover up Peggy's support.

Not for long though!

Welcome to the official campaign website of the election campaign of PEGGY O'HARA

who is standing in the forthcoming elections to the Stormont Assembly which will be held 7th March.

Peggy is standing in the Foyle Constituency which covers Derry city and surrounding rural areas.

Peggy O'Hara is a Republican unity candidate and has the support of a wide range of groups and individuals.

The Irish Republican Socialist Party, 32 County Sovereignty Movement, Concerned Republicans Group, Concerned Republicans and Ex-Pows have all pledged support to Peggy.

Peggy O'Hara is the 76 year old mother of 1981 hungerstriker Patsy O'Hara who died on 21st May 1981 after 61 days without food.

Peggy feels angered and betrayed by moves to endorse a British police service and has decided not only to make her views known but to

stand in this election to act as a focal point to all others within the republican community in Derry who feel the same.

Peggy will be standing on a pro-republican socialist platform that rejects any British involvement in Ireland. Policing is but one such involvement.

She will not be taking her seat in the Stormont Assembly if elected.
